Sessions combine fundamental motor skill development—including hand-eye coordination\, balance\, agility and movement—with a fun\, games-based approach that keeps children engaged\, active and smiling. \nChildren learn using modified equipment\, such as: \n\n19-inch racquets\nLow-compression tennis balls\nMini courts and mini nets\n\nThis creates a safe\, supportive and confidence-building environment where children can progress at their own pace. DESCRIPTION:WINTER 2026 JUNIOR COMPETITION REGISTRATIONS ERT \nWinter Season Dates: \nEarly May – end of August \nThere is no competition play over public or school holidays. \nEntries Close: 9th March \nGeneral Information: \nDonvale Tennis Club (DTC) participate in the Eastern Region Tennis Association Junior Competition (ERT). \nDTC competes on Saturday and Sunday mornings\, \nERT is a team competition\, with teams competing against other teams from clubs across the Eastern Region. \nFor more information on the ERT Junior Competition (including clubs\, fixtures\, results\, and ladders)\, visit the ERT Website. \nMembership Requirements: \nAll players must be financial members of the tennis club. Membership provides unlimited play during daylight hours\, with additional charges for night-time play. \nDonvale Tennis Club Membership \nVolunteer Support: \nEach club has a Junior Committee made up of volunteer parents who help with registration\, team selection\, and managing the junior program. \nWe encourage all families to consider volunteering – your support is greatly appreciated! \nTeam Selection: \nThe Junior Committee selects teams based on the following \nStatistics from previous seasons \nUniversal Tennis Rating (UTR) \nInput from convenors and coaches \nThe age and social needs of each child \nParental Requests: \nRequests for team placement will be considered\, but must be submitted in writing. \nTeam Captains: \nEach team will have a captain who will manage week-to-week team organization. \nParental Involvement: \nParents are expected to supervise teams and help run the canteen on a roster system. \nRegistration Details: \nDonvale Tennis Club Registration: \nHow to Register: \nDownload the Stack Team App. \nSearch for Donvale Tennis Club – Juniors. \nComplete the registration form and payment. \nTo pay for your junior membership\, visit: Donvale Tennis Club Membership. \nContact Kathryn at klagten@gmail.com \n  \nWe look forward to a fantastic Winter Junior Competition season!
